Your Neighborhood Music Teacher

Kids are the future. What does that mean in the context of learning music?

  1. Children treated with utmost respect

  2. Engaging material, lessening the number of future adults who quit piano as a child and regret it

  3. Music as a connector rather than a competition (everyone’s abilities are valued)

All members of this student body are treated like human beings: with respect, kindness, and patience. They are so young, no one has any way of knowing where they will take their interest in music: possibly unprecedented places. I listen to my students and help them with what they are actually curious about.

If for any reason your little musician isn’t having fun in their lessons, let’s correct is asap. It is your and their right for the teacher to deliver a fun learning environment or for them to move on to their next instructor.

A Message for Students: You should be having FUN in your music lessons! Yes, some weeks will be harder than others. But if overall you’re not enjoying your lessons, please let me or your grownups know right away.
